THE LEADERSHIP COURSE
EVIDENCE-BASED CURRICULUM
The Leadership Course is the first-ever four-year applied-neuroscience academic leadership curriculum for high school girls taught during the academic school day. It is supported and advised by the world's foremost thought leaders and experts in leadership development. The program is designed specifically for girls’ schools with a sincere and intentional focus on leadership development. It engages faculty (as certified in-school Leadership Coaches) and students both as learners and leaders. The coursework is designed around core tenets that address the gender-specific needs of girls including closing the confidence gap, building growth mindset, grit and resilience, reducing stress, facilitating pro-social norms and equipping girls with proven leadership and life skills to succeed in the classroom and, most importantly, in life.
The Leadership Course is a result of nearly five years of research and development and pilot testing by our team. The curriculum tailors evidence-based leadership development best practices, guided by research on the needs of girls and positive youth development, to deliver a curriculum that includes important topics including:
Self-leadership
The neuroscience of confidence
Character strengths
Leadership identity
Leading effective teams
Public speaking mastery
Developing a learning and growth mindset
